Island Pond Rainbow
While looking out my living room window at the strange evening light I saw the rainbow over the lake. I picked up my camera and hurried to the beach, what a sight! Except for one other couple that had stopped I was the only one looking at the rainbow. The next day I ask if anyone had noticed the sky last night. No one noticed it! What a shame..
George & Stuart’s Geranium
This was so much fun to shoot. I was again using the Sigma 70mm macro for the shot. It was a rainy day in England so the lighting was really soft and no shadows. The hardest part of the whole shot was keeping the Sony A100 dry. Its not made for wet conditions, so far thats the only thing I wish Sony would change about the camera. Other than that its been a great camera.
Caerphilly Castle
This castle is so cool, it even has a real moat. Virtually all of the major building at the castle was completed at breakneck speed within the years 1268 to 1271. Caerphilly is all the more remarkable in that it was not raised for an English king, but for a leading magnate of the realm, albeit an immensely powerful one. It was the creation of “Red Gilbert’ de Clare (1243-95), earl of Gloucester and Hertford. Old “Red” was a cool dude. Oh, one other thing, the part of the castle that is tilting. Its been that way for well over 400 years.

We were traveling through Wales and discovered this abandoned church and cemetery. Its so sad to see something like this. You wonder where the families are because these folks are totally forgotten. It just makes ya think when its your time. Don’t bury me!!
Father of the Bride
Here is the proud father of the bride. It was a wonderful a day. It was one of the only days that it didn’t rain while we were in England. We were there for ten days. It was a record breaker for the month of June. Were talking for as long as they have been keeping records. Interesting!
